Activate the Bot in Teams​

Wait for the Setup Policy to fully propagate and for Barista to appear in the Teams sidebar for the pilot group before completing this step.

  1. Open the Barista app in Microsoft Teams as a Barista Admin,
  2. In the chat with Barista, send the following command exactly: install barista for teams admin command

This command must be run before any users can interact with the bot. It creates the Bot object in Barista and initializes the required data in the database.

  1. Confirm you receive a message indicating the bot has been successfully set up.

If the bot is removed or uninstalled at any time, this step must be repeated before users can interact with Barista again.
